The Master's Degree in Sexology is unique in the context of public higher education in Portugal and aims to promote theoretical and practical skills in the field of sexology, with a focus on clinical and social intervention contexts. It is intended that students acquire evidence-based knowledge about the conceptualisation of the human sexual response, the foundations of intervention in different clinical (e.g., sexual dysfunctions, sexual and reproductive health) and social (e.g., sexual violence) problems, and the promotion of responses to issues of social relevance (e.g., sexual rights, sexual education). The Masters presents a multi and interdisciplinary perspective with the contribution of scientific areas such as Psychology, Medicine and Health Sciences, Education Sciences and Social Sciences.
The master works in a face-to-face regime, with 30% of part of its UC with e-learning resources allowing distance collaboration of international experts.
