About U.Porto - Social Collaboration

The University of Porto has been promoting cooperation and the establishment of relationships, projects and partnerships with various institutions, contributing to a closer relationship with the outside world and to mutual learning processes.

Social Collaboration

U.Porto has been encouraging the creation or participation in a wide set of Entities that complement and promote its research and development activities in Education and Training, Research and Innovation.

These entities tend to develop their activity in focused areas of action, especially in research and development, innovation support and promotion, the economic valorisation of knowledge and the provision of services to the community.

U.Porto's Social Collaboration Management team tracks and monitors the economic and financial performance of entities by supporting the University’s representatives on governing bodies. This control aims to support the decision-making process and evaluate the strategic interest and risks when U.Porto collaborates with those entities.

These entities are extensions of U.Porto, integrating the "Universe of the University of Porto", given that they collaborate and work closely with each other.

U.Porto's consolidated group, referred to as "U.Porto Group", comprises the entities below.

U.Porto Group
