U.Porto in the World - [email protected]

U.Porto is a founding member of one of the first European Universities. Supported by an advanced model of cooperation in teaching, research and innovation in the field of Global Health, the EUGLOH alliance brings together the talent, resources and reputation of some of the most renowned universities in Europe.

EUGLOH

U.Porto is one of the founding institutions of the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH), a European consortium of academic cooperation created in 2019. The following prestigious universities are also consortium partners: Université Paris-Saclay (France), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany), Lund University (Sweden) and the University of Szeged (Hungary).

Funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus + Programme, theis consortium dedicated to Global Health represents an academic community of more than 200 000 students, bringing together high-quality resources and infrastructure as well as a critical mass of state-of-the-art research in the fields of education, research and innovation.

EUGLOH has made it possible for its members to establish teaching and training partnerships, develop training programmes for lecturers and researchers, develop new models for in-person and virtual mobility, and organise joint applications for project funding through an advanced model of academic cooperation.

Initially dedicated solely to teaching and training, EUGLOH has since expanded its area of intervention to include research and innovation with the EUGLOHRIA project, approved by the European Commission, with two million euros of funding.

EUGLOH is therefore perfectly positioned to improve scientific knowledge, promote human development and boost innovation in the multidisciplinary field of Global Health – a concept that encompasses all disciplines related to human, animal and environmental health.
