Once they have registered for the first time, all students have access to an institutional email account and a personal area on the U.Porto’s Information System (SIGARRA). There you will find information about your academic path and up-to-date information on timetables, classes and classrooms.
U.Porto students also have access to high-speed fibre optic internet, available across all the University’s campuses, as well as to the Eduroam wifi network. You can also access libraries and other online resources, web applications (for example, related to accommodation and file sharing), software (free software and licensed software) and IT services, such as Google for Education or Microsoft® Office 365 with free extended storage space in Google Drive and in Microsoft OneDrive, respectively.
The Centre for Educational Technology (NTE), through Academia UP, offers tools to support distance teaching/learning – e-learning – that complement and, where necessary, substitute face-to-face lessons.
