Bachelor's and Integrated Master’s Degrees - General Information and Tuition Fees

How do Bachelor's and Integrated Master's Degrees work and what is their duration at the University of Porto? How much do you have to pay in order to attend a course at U.Porto? Find out the answers below.

What are Bachelor’s and Integrated Master’s Degrees?

Bachelor’s Degrees at U.Porto have a duration of between six and eight semesters (3 or 4 years), which corresponds to 180 or 240 ECTS credits, respectively. Students who pass all course units are awarded a Bachelor's degree.

Integrated Master’s Degrees have a duration of between ten and twelve semesters (5 or 6 years), which corresponds to 300 or 360 ECTS credits, respectively. Students who complete 180 credits corresponding to the first six semesters (three years) of the course may be awarded a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree is awarded once the total 300 or 360 ECTS credits have been completed.

How much do they cost?

Attending a 1st cycle (Bachelor's Degree) or Integrated Master's Degree course at U.Porto is subject to payment of a tuition fee / annual charge.

The indicative value of the annual fee for the 2023/2024 academic year for Bachelor’s and Integrated Master’s Degrees at U.Porto is 697.00 euros (+2 euros for school insurance) for national students and/or equivalent.

If you have International Student Status, note that the value of the tuition fee / annual charge is set by each U.Porto faculty, according to the real cost of the course. In these cases, students from countries that are part of CPLP – Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, and East Timor) may benefit from a reduction in fees up to 45%.
