By appointment, any student of the University can resort, through the Social Support Services of the University of Porto (SASUP), to appointments in the areas of:
- General Practice
- Gynecology and Obstetrics
- Dental Medicine, at the Faculty of Dental Medicine
- Nutrition, in the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences
- Sexual Health
- Among other specialities.
All appointments, except for those in Dental Medicine, are held at the SASUP head office.

University life can bring new challenges. With that in mind, U.Porto provides you with a wide range of support services provided by qualified professionals.
The Social Action Services of U.Porto (SASUP), as well as the different faculties of the University, ensure psychological support to all the academic community.
More recently, U.Porto has made available an online Psychological Support Platform (Psic.On), whose access is free of charge. The services available in this portal include individual psychological consultations (in different languages), telework support, specialized consultancy for parents of babies and young children and participation in support groups.
The Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences (FPCEUP) also offers a Psychology Appointments Service, open to the general community. The available modalities include: Psychological Consultations for Vocational Guidance; Psychological Consultations for Children and Adolescents; Psychotherapy; Health Psychology Consultations; and an Office for Studies and Victim Care.
Nutrition and wellbeing
Nutrition consultations are available to all members of the academic community at the Social Support Services of the University of Porto (SASUP), or through the University of Porto Sports Centre (CDUP-UP).
Conducted by professionals in the area, the consultations cover a wide range of intervention:
- Body composition optimisation
- Improvement of performance
- Increase in quality of life
- Health and well-being
- Treatment and prevention of pathologies
- Improvement of recovery
- Reduction of injury risk
The Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences (FCNAUP) also has a food counselling service, open to the community.
