Any student at the University of Porto can book an appointment through the Social Support Services of the University of Porto (SASUP) with specialists in:
- General Medicine
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Dental Medicine, at the Faculty of Dental Medicine
- Nutrition, at the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences
- Sexual Health
- Other fields
All appointments, with the exception of Dental Medicine, take place at the SASUP main building.

University life has its challenges. That is why U.Porto has a wide variety of support services provided by qualified professionals available to all our students.
The Social Support Services of the University of Porto (SASUP), in addition to several of the University’s faculties, offer psychological support services to the entire academic community.
U.Porto recently launched a free online Psychological Support Platform (Psic.On). The platform offers individual therapy sessions (in different languages), remote work support, specialised counselling for parents of babies and small children, and support group sessions.
The Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPCEUP) also has Counselling and Therapy Services available to the general community. The types of services available include: Career Guidance Counselling; Counselling for Children and Adolescents; Psychotherapy; Appointments in Health Psychology; and a Studies and Victims Support Office.
Nutrition and well-being
Nutritional consultations are available for all members of the academic community through the Social Support Services of the University of Porto (SASUP), or the Sports Centre of the University of Porto (CDUP-UP).
Run by professionals in the field, the consultations cover a wide range of treatments:
