Application to U.Porto's 1st cycle (Bachelor's Degree) or Integrated Master's Degree courses is done through the National Call for Applications and Admissions in Public Higher Education (general and special regimes), or through the special calls for application promoted by the University.

In postgraduate study cycles (master's degree courses and doctoral programmes), application requirements are defined by each faculty. You can find more information in the Applications page or by visiting the Office for Access to Higher Education (GAES-UP), located in the Rectory building.

The University and its faculties follow the professional progression of their graduates by promoting job/training/research opportunities, providing career management services or by carrying out employability surveys promoted by U.Porto Employment Observatory.

Of course! Every year, the University promotes more than 300 Continuing education courses. Many of them are available outside working hours and are especially dedicated to candidates who are already in the labour market. These courses are shorter, more flexible and accessible than degree-awarding courses, but they benefit from the same U.Porto teaching quality. Would you like to open new horizons by learning Arabic or Japanese? What about testing your management skills in one of the most prestigious MBAs in the world? It's hard to choose!
