This course was designed for students, professionals or researchers who wish to develop or acquire skills in the implementation of technological solutions using MATLAB®, with an emphasis on healthcare applications. Since information management is crucial nowadays, MATLAB® becomes a powerful tool for analyzing data, signals and images, providing a wide range of processing resources for multidisciplinary application.
Thus, this course aims to enhance the knowledge of students, qualifying them according to the demands of the current job market, both at a business and academic level. This objective is in line with the Strategic Plan of the University of Porto.
Job Opportunities
At the end of this continuing education unit, students should be able to: Use and manipulate the MATLAB® environment; Import and export data and choose the most adequate type of variables and visualization; Define and implement structured programs in MATLAB®, using incremental development approaches based on internal and user-defined functions; understand the potential of MATLAB® in the scope of applications in Health.
