The main objectives of the course are: to ensure the teaching and learning of the Portuguese language at level A1, as described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; to develop in an integrated approach to the skills underlying the acquisition of communicative competence in Portuguese, namely listening; reading, speaking; and writing, as well as elementary structures and use of Portuguese; to make students aware of various aspects of Portuguese culture.
