Data Analysis and Visualization

Scientists, researchers, and professionals in various fields such as biology, medicine, social sciences, and other disciplines widely use statistical and data analysis software. It is known for its intuitive interface and is designed to simplify statistical analysis and data visualisation.

The availability is limited to the number of individual licenses acquired, being attributed according to the criteria defined by each subscribing Organic Unit (FADEUP, FFUP, FMUP, IBMC, ICBAS, and IPATIMUP).

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Geographic Information System (GIS) is used to capture, manage, analyse, and visualise geospatial data, enabling the creation of interactive maps and advanced geographic analysis.

The availability is limited to the number of individual licenses acquired, being attributed according to the criteria defined by each subscribing Organic Unit (CIIMAR, FAUP, FCUP, FADEUP, FEP, FEUP, FLUP, FMUP, ICBAS, and INEGI).

Students interested in using ArcGIS should ask the lecturer to fill in the registration form.

Alternatively, ArcGIS can be used in ESRI's cloud: ArcGIS Online (AGOL). The registration of students and researchers in this Web solution should be requested through the IT contacts.

Productivity

Designed specifically for educational institutions such as schools and universities, it offers various features and tools to improve collaboration, communication, and productivity in the educational environment.

The availability is limited to the quantity of individual licenses acquired, being attributed according to the criteria defined by each subscribing Organic Unit (FAUP, FBAUP, FCNAUP, FCUP, FDUP, FEP, FEUP, FFUP, FLUP, FMDUP, FPCEUP, ICBAS, and REITORIA).

Access to Google Workspace Education, associated with up[123456789]@g.uporto.pt (the numbers represent your student/mechanographic number) accounts, will be provided to subscribing organic units under the following conditions:

  • Staff with “Active” status in the Information System will have a storage space limited to 100GB;
  • Students with “Attending” status in the Information System will have a storage space limited to 15GB.
  • For users whose status is no longer “Active”/”Attending”, the account will be removed after 3 months.

Qualitative Data Analysis

Powerful qualitative analysis tool designed to organise, analyse, and visualise data effectively. It is used in the detailed analysis of unstructured data such as interviews, transcripts, documents, social media, and other textual content types.
