Personal development - Case competitions

FEP has participated in international competitions around the world since 2006 and organised its first international business case competition in 2013.

Business Case Competitions

These competitions, internationally known as Business Case Competitions, put teams of four students to design recommendations for real business problems (described in a case study) and present them before a jury of people with strong business experience.

FEP's Business Case Analysis case study methodology

The case study methodology is addressed in FEP's Business Case Analysis classes and constitutes a privileged instrument to work on the following competences in students:

  • Identification of the cause of problems;
  • Structured problem analysis;
  • Identification of alternatives and presentation of solutions.

Business Case Competitions

In addition, it is a methodology used to help students develop public presentation skills. Through the wide spectrum of case studies proposed to students, this methodology exposes students to the most current management concepts, challenges and trends.
