FEP was recognised in 2018 with the BSIS seal, an internationally recognised methodology used to measure the impact and benefits of the school on the community and the region.
The Charter for Diversity, an initiative of the European Commission, consists of a short document signed voluntarily by employers from various sectors (public, private and non-profit). It outlines concrete measures that can be taken to promote diversity and equal opportunities at work regardless of cultural, ethnic and social origin, sexual orientation, gender, age, physical characteristics, personal style and religion.
FEP has been a member of the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion since 2020, subscribing to the Charter for Diversity and assuming the inherent principles.
FEP is, since 2016, a member of CLADEA, an international network of higher education institutions and international organizations dedicated to teaching and research in Management. CLADEA has more than 235 affiliated institutions on three continents: America (Latin America and North America), Europe and Oceania.
FEP is a member of the EFMD, an international association of business schools and companies, with more than 900 members in 86 countries. EFMD is the world leader in assessing the quality and impact of business schools, responsible for awarding EQUIS accreditation.
In September 2023, FEP became an associate member of GRACE, a non-profit, public-benefit business association that works in the areas of Social Responsibility and Sustainability.
Being an associate member allows for collaborative action with other associated organisations (more than 300 nationwide), sharing good practices between companies and with the Social Economy, promoting closer ties between companies and academia, as well as access to content and initiatives aligned with the Europe 2030 Strategy and SDGs and training / access to awareness-raising sessions.
These initiatives will make it possible to leverage the work carried out in these areas and access fundamental information to guide internal actions.
FEP subscribed the Porto Climate Pact with the Municipality of Porto.
The Pact allows signatories to:
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the economic and social development of the city.
- Collaborate in a network of ambitious actors with common goals, enhancing opportunities.
- Obtain recognition in the area of sustainability and climate action.
- Evaluate the results of proposed decarbonization measures.
FEP is a signatory of PRME values, the largest network established between the United Nations and business schools. Its mission is to promote globally the transformation of management education, research and thinking by providing a framework for responsible management. The principles also contribute to the promotion of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
FEP is part of the QTEM international network which involves the most prestigious Economics and Management schools in the world and excellent business partners. Under QTEM, students follow an international pathway that allows them to develop technical, analytical and quantitative skills to support decision making.
