We use behavioral methods (classic accuracy and reaction time measurment as well as eye-movement recordings) and neuroimaging (ERPs) to investigate fundamental cognitive processes such as speech perception, reading and writing, working memory, attention, and musical cognition. In a translational line, we are committed to develop and adapt to Portuguese neuropsychological assessment tests, and to develop evidence-based educational programs.
The Speech Lab (NCL) team includes eight Ph.D. faculty from FPCEUP, one from the University of Azores, three Ph.D. researchers at FPCEUP, eight doctoral students and two research assistants (FPCEUP).
