The Center for Psychology at the University of Porto (CPUP) is an R&D unit committed to scientific excellence, created in 1980. Organized into 5 large research groups, with more than 71 researchers and around 157 doctoral students, CPUP brings together complementary methods, techniques and skills to produce research in accordance with the highest international standards in fundamental and applied Psychology, and to develop and implement innovative clinical, educational and social interventions.
Its prominence grants the center a continuous support from Portugal's Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Currently, CPUP's Director is Professor Paula Mena Matos.
