Organization - Departments

FPCEUP is organised in two departments: Psychology and Education Sciences.

Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at FPCEUP develops training activities in Psychology at undergraduate, master and doctoral levels.

It is the Psychology Department's responsibility:

  • The teaching in the courses conferring or not a degree at FPCEUP, or in which it participates;
  • Scientific research and technological development;
  • The dissemination and valorization of research results;
  • The provision of specialized services to the community.

The Department of Psychology is elected for a four-year period and composed of 20 members.

The current mandate started in 2023 and is chaired by Professor Isabel Rocha Pinto.

Department of Educational Sciences

The Department of Educational Sciences of FPCEUP develops training activities in the field of Education at undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels.

The Department of Educational Sciences is responsible for:

  • Teaching in courses conferring or not a degree at FPCEUP, or in which it participates;
  • Scientific research and technological development;
  • Dissemination and valorization of research results;
  • The provision of specialized services to the community.

The Department of Psychology is elected for a four-year period and composed of 15 members.

The current mandate started in 2023 and is chaired by Professor Sofia Marques da Silva.
