Created in 1996, the Work Psychology Atelier cooperates with national and international research-action partnerships. It has a widely sedimented interdisciplinary body of knowledge concerning human development, professional activity, work and respective organisation as its fundamental scientific matrix.
Having as a goal the promotion of the development and the preservation of health based on the study of the work activity and the contextual singularities, the APT, together with the partner entities and their decision makers, develops projects, namely, in the scope of: safety and health in and through work, training and development, experience and age at work, organisation of time and working hours, leadership processes and organisational participation, territories and sustainable development.
The Work Psychology Consulting Service of FPCEUP, integrating the APT, conducts consulting projects in the field triggered by specific intervention requests in these areas.
Its work is disseminated, among others, through the organisation and biannual publication of the scientific journal Laboreal.
