About FPCEUP - Strategic Plan

FPCEUP's Strategic Plan is in force until 2030. It is anchored in 4 strategic principles that guide the institution's actions.

  • OPEN TO THE WORLD, INTERNATIONALISATION AND MOBILITY.
    A Faculty that is Open to the World because this is one of the fundamental values of the University concept. Open to multiculturalism, to diversity of opinion, to free debate, to freedom of research, and promoting mobility and welcoming the merit of teachers, researchers, technicians and students regardless of their origin without barriers and without borders.
  • VALUING PEOPLE, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY.
    An Inclusive and Diverse Faculty, which values people and encourages their active and extended participation in the decision-making process, promotes equality and equity of opportunities, accepts difference and rejects all types of discrimination, valuing diversity, solidarity and commitment to human rights.
  • BINOMIAL TEACHING AND RESEARCH OF EXCELLENCE.
    A Faculty that assumes the binomial and the umbilical relationship between teaching and research as central and distinctive, affirming itself in the national and international context as a Research Faculty, which promotes quality teaching based on the excellence of its scientific knowledge production.
  • COMMITMENT, RESPONSIBILITY AND SOCIAL IMPACT.
    A Faculty with a strong Social Impact, which distinguishes itself by promoting the transfer of scientific knowledge in the areas of Psychology and Educational Sciences, responding to individual, group and social needs, influencing public policies and contributing to the psychological well-being and quality of life of people and for a better, more inclusive and open society.

Based on these principles, the Strategic Plan identifies a set of objectives organized around the major areas of the Faculty's mission:
