Laboratories - SexLab - Research Group in Human Sexuality

The Human Sexuality Research Laboratory (SexLab) is dedicated to experimental and psychophysiological research on different aspects of human sexuality.

Its mission is to contribute to the social and scientific dissemination of the science of sexology and to train students, professionals and researchers, reinforcing the field work that is done in clinical, social and sexual rights contexts.

This laboratory was created in a partnership between FPCEUP, CINEICC (FPCEUC) and the University of Aveiro and has been a pioneer in studies of experimental and psychophysiological nature in Sexology, thus constituting a milestone in the development of research in Sexology in Portugal.

It is part of the international network "SEXLAB", coordinated by Erick Janssen from the University of Leuven, which is composed of research teams working in this area on various continents.
