Facilities - How to Get to FCNAUP

There are five bus lines in the Faculty area:

• 200 - Bolhão / Castelo do Queijo
• 204 - Hospital de S. João / Foz
• 207 - Campanhã / Mercado da Foz
• 209 - Prelada / Pasteleira
• 1M - Av. dos Aliados / Matosinhos (Praia)

How to use STCP SMS BUS service?

It is a text message service provided by mobile phone through which you can find out in seconds when the next bus will arrive at the bus stop where you are.

To know when the following five buses will arrive at your stop:

• Read the SMS BUS code on the bus stop sign;
• Write a message with the required SMS BUS code;
• Send the SMS to 68998 (cost of 0,20 Euros).

To know when the following five buses of the line you want arrive at your stop:

• Read the SMS BUS code on the bus stop sign;
• Write a message with the SMS BUS code followed by a space and the line number;
• Send the SMS to 68998 (cost 0,20 euros).

SMS BUS code of the stops near FCNAUP:

• PLNT2;
• PLNT1.

The nearest metro station to FCNAUP is "Casa da Música", served by lines A (blue), B (red), C (green), E (purple) and F (orange). It is about 1.6 kilometres away on foot, more or less a 20-minute walk.

The best way to find the FCNAUP, is to follow the signs to various points of interest that are close by, for example:

• Porto Planetarium;
• Faculty of Sciences;
• Botanical Garden | Museum of Natural History and Science.

Coming from the North, by the Internal Beltway (A1 | IC1) and before entering the Arrábida Bridge, exit towards Campo Alegre. Go along Via Panorâmica, turning right before you reach the Faculdade de Letras, towards the Faculdade de Arquitetura. Go around it and turn left, at the traffic lights, to Rua do Campo Alegre. Go 60 meters and FCNAUP will be on your left. See the directions for the route from the North.

Coming from the South, by the Internal Beltway (A1 | IC1) and after leaving Ponte da Arrábida, exit towards Campo Alegre. Go along Via Panorâmica, turning right before you reach the Faculdade de Letras, towards the Faculdade de Arquitetura. Go around it and turn left, at the traffic lights, to Rua do Campo Alegre. Go 60 meters and FCNAUP will be on your left. See the directions for the route coming from South.

If you arrive in the city of Porto by train, you have two solutions:

• If you get off at Campanhã Station, you should take the bus "207 - Mercado da Foz" and get off at the "Planetário" stop. FCNAUP will be right in front of the stop, on the other side of the street;
• If you get off at S. Bento Station, you should take the bus "1M - Matosinhos (Praia)" at Avenida dos Aliados and get off at the bus stop "Planetário". FCNAUP will be right in front of the bus stop, on the other side of the street.
