Bachelor's Degree - Curricular Internships

The curricular internship is an opportunity for the future nutritionist to contact the world of work in various areas from Food and Human Nutrition, Community Nutrition and Public Health, Collective Food, Food Safety and Quality, Clinical Nutrition or Research and Teaching.

At the end of the Degree in Nutritional Sciences, the FCNAUP promotes an internship in a professional context under protocols established with various institutions and companies.

Internship Places

In addition to the places agreed upon for receiving FCNAUP trainees, the final-year students can carry out the internship in institutions they suggested.

Some of the national and international institutions that have hosted curricular internships for FCNAUP finalists are listed below:

  • Grouping of Primary and Secondary Schools in different regions of the country;
  • Social and cultural associations (e.g. Associação dos Cegos e Amblíopes de Portugal; Associação do Porto de Paralisia Cerebral; Portuguese Red Cross; Helpo; Misericórdias in various regions of the country);
  • Sports clubs and associations in different regions of the country;
  • Scientific associations in different regions of the country (e.g. Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection; Portuguese Association of Nutrition);
  • Higher Education Institutions in different regions of the country;
  • Municipalities in the different regions of the country;
  • Companies in the Agro-Food, Food and Beverages, Hospitality and Tourism Industries (e.g. Sonae; Brasmar; Cerealis; Ibersol; The Yeatman);
  • Laboratories and Research Units in different regions of the country;
  • Entities of the National Health System (hospitals or hospital centres and local health units in the different regions of the country).
