Our Career Ambassadors for PhD candidates and graduates are responsible for:
- Representing and supporting PhD candidates and PhD holders with intercultural diversity;
- Communicating and supporting the needs of PhD candidates and PhD holders;
- Disseminating the UP Doctoral Careers among the Doctoral Community and on (inter)national events;
- Engaging PhD candidates and PhD holders on entrepreneurship;
- Supporting and co-creating initiatives like webinars, podcasts and Listening Tours;
- Contacting employers in order to raise interest in collaborating on career initiatives;
- Implementing other initiatives they would like to bring to the Community.

Do you have interest in being part of U.Porto’s new centre of resources for PhD candidates and PhD holders? Is it time to take the next step in your career? Are you interested in supporting your peers entering the job market?
Any PhD candidate or PhD holder (< 2 years) from University of Porto that is registered as such in our database.
Also, our Ambassadors must:
- Have a high English proficiency level;
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills;
- Have a keen interest in deepening knowledge in career development and to create links between academic and non-academic institutions and our students;
- Be enthusiastic about the university experience and the University of Porto, in particular;
- Be empathic and approachable to initiate contact with prospective students;
- Be creative to support the innovative factor of the UP Doctoral Careers’ centre of resources.
