About Recruiting Talents

From the start of their academic career, students and graduates at the University of Porto have various initiatives and activities available to support their career development and preparation for the labour market.

These initiatives and activities include training with specialists, conferences, workshops on soft and hard skills, talks with recruiters and alumni, support in building your personal marketing and preparation for recruitment and selection processes.

Even the definition of a career plan is constantly monitored.

In the case of the initiatives promoted and implemented by the Talent and Career Centre, these involve the participation of various partners, such as students and alumni, teachers, technicians and researchers, representatives of organisations, recruiters, and professionals in the field of career development, among others.

In addition to these possibilities, organisations can also count on the support and collaboration of the Talent and Career Centre in contacting faculties or other career services at U.Porto, in attracting talent or in developing more direct and segmented strategies, such as:

  • Participation in job and career fairs;
  • Presentations by organisations on U.Porto campuses;
  • Organisation of student visits to organisations;
  • Sponsorship of events;
  • Participation in an organisation of networking events such as ConnectiON;
  • Activating the employer brand at U.Porto;
  • Offering internships (extracurricular, summer, international or job shadowing);
  • Offering professional mentoring;
  • Proposing topics for projects in a business environment;
  • Promotion of workshops/sessions on career management and competencies;
  • Promotion of actions linked to entrepreneurship;
  • Customised actions tailored to the needs of organisations.

If your organisation would like to carry out one of these activities (or others that are not mentioned, such as professional training/reconversion programmes, the possibility of teaching a specific module as part of a Curricular Unit, among others) please get in touch with us:
