Liam Benison is a Researcher in the Department of Cultures and Civilizations at the University of Verona. His project “Privutopia”, under the MSCA Seal of Excellence scheme, investigates the early modern history of privacy through utopian texts and paratexts, letters and maps. He is a collaborating researcher with the Centre for English Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies (CETAPS) at the University of Porto, and an affiliated scholar of the Centre for Privacy Studies at the University of Copenhagen. After graduating with a BA and MA from the University of Melbourne, he worked as a journal editor in London for several years. He earned an Erasmus Mundus joint doctorate from the University of Kent and University of Porto in 2020.
