I am a senior lecturer and associate professor in public health at Lund University. My research has focused on community-based health promotion and social epidemiology – mainly among adolescents and young adults. I have also taught several courses in public and global health and was between 2015 to 2021 the program director for Lund University’s international Master of Public Health program. I have been involved in projects in many different settings and locations; Sweden, Brazil, Uganda, India, and Kazakhstan to mention a few. He graduated in Business Organisation and Management from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG) of Universidade de Lisboa, in 1986. He completed the Advanced Business Management Program at AESE Business School, Lisbon, in 2001 and attended several Programs for Senior Executives: “Breakthrough Program for Senior Executives” at IMD – International Institute for Management Development, in Lausanne, 2018; “Closing the Gap Between Strategy and Execution”, at MIT-Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, in Boston, 2019; “Leading Professional Service Firms”, at Harvard Business School, in Boston, 2019, and “Complexities of Chairing in Modern Banking Governance”, from IFB-INSEAD, in Lisbon, 2019.
