National Higher Education Volunteering Network (R-VES)
In 2020, the University of Porto signed an agreement to join the HIGHER EDUCATION VOLUNTEERING NETWORK (R-VES), with the U.Porto Solidarity Centre becoming part of the Network's working group and, since 2022, it has been a member and full member of the R-VES Network's Coordinating Committee.
ORSIES Network - Observatory for the Social Responsibility of Higher Education Institutions
U.Porto has been a member of the ORSIES NETWORK - Observatory of Social Responsibility in HIGHER EDUCATION since 2016. Represented through the U.Porto Solidária Centre, it plays an active role in a collaborative network that fosters the social dimension of institutions and promotes the exchange of experiences on social responsibility policies and practices.
This network has recently set up a Working Group on Volunteering in HEIs, with the aim of promoting reflection based on sharing experiences about HEIs as organisations that promote volunteering.
