NeuroTOX: from theory to pratice of neurotoxicity biomarkers

It has been verified that several environmental and occupational xenobiotics have inherent neurotoxic characteristics that may be irreversible. It should be added that neurodegenerative diseases have been growing exponentially in recent decades, demonstrating a great social and economic impact. These cognitive deficits may also be the result of exposure to various occupational or environmental xenobiotics that lead to neurotoxicity in humans.
It is crucial to enable new professional groups to understand mechanisms and consequences of neurotoxicity by alerting different stakeholders, both at basic science and non-scientific level, and to equip participants with knowledge about the mechanisms and consequences of such exposure.
