Health, Wellbeing and Architecture

Health is determined by where a person lives. From the design of private and public spaces to the understanding of the impact of these spaces on health, from the choice of building materials to the design of public spaces, health professionals and architects are important stakeholders in health promotion. This Curricular Unit aims to create a transdisciplinary perspective on the intersection of health and architecture, unveiling the health impact of (un)healthy living private and public spaces while fostering the transdisciplinary dialogue between architecture and medicine students, faculty and researchers for the discussion of future healthier environments.
