Vas training aims to train future and current health professionals in the ABCDE approach to the deteriorating patient, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the simple airway approach (VA) and safe defibrillation, allowing them to approach patients in cardiac arrest until the arrival of a resuscitation team and participate as members of that team. The training also aims to train candidates in identifying the causes of cardiac arrest, identifying patients at risk of deterioration and addressing cardiac arrest and peri-stop problems.
