Fetal medicine requires knowledge of embryology, physiology, pathology, and the most appropriate diagnostic methods. It is necessary to identify the anomalies, make the etiological diagnosis and to define the prognosis.

- Know the embryology and fetal physiology;
- Know the main pathologies with manifestation in the fetal period, including incidence, risk factors, echographic manifestations, prognosis and possibility of perinatal action;
