Debriefing is a reflexive practice method that allows scrutinizing assumptions and practices after an action. The debriefing is an essential part of the training in clinical simulation being in this phase (post-action) that occurs the reflection on professional practices, promoting the correction and modification of future actions.
This technique is not only applied in a simulation context but also in a context of clinical practice, enhancing the improvement of the performance of health professionals and patient care.
