Food and Sustainability

The objectives of this course are:
- Train for the assessment of environmental sustainability along the value chain associated with food production and consumption, in line with the priorities established by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in protecting the planet through the promotion of sustainability in production and consumption feed;
- Know and describe the methodologies and indicators of food sustainability assessment. Identify food waste quantification methodologies, their applicability and limitations;
- Develop strategies to promote sustainability in collective food, catering, food industry.

Operating mode: This course will consist of 18 hours of contact in a theoretical-practical format, which corresponds to 8 modules of 2 hours (2 on-site modules and 6 synchronous at a distance); 2 hours for face-to-face assessment.
