Doctoral Degree in Bioethics
The Doctorate in Bioethics offered by FMUP aims to provide advanced education and training in the field of Bioethics by promoting excellence through research beyond the limits of scientific knowledge. The course comprises a curricular component, which is achieved by successfully completing the following ten modules: (General Bioethics; Philosophy and Bioethics; Professional Ethics; Ethics at the Beginning of Life; Ethics at the End of Life and in Palliative Care; Ethics in Healthcare Priorities; Environment, Biodiversity and Biopolitics; Biolaw; Seminars; and Individual Projects) and a research component for the elaboration of an original thesis.
Work in the medicine and nursing fields, as well as in other health fields, including teaching at different education levels.
