Doctoral Programme in Migration and Modernity: Historical and Cultural Challenges (MOVES) is a joint programme by U.Porto (through FLUP), U.Karlova Praha (Czech Republic), Université Montpellier III Paul Valéry (France), Freie Universität Berlin (Germany) and the University of Kent (United Kingdom), which intends to train a new generation of experts on the ability to respond to future migration crisis with innovative solutions. Throughout the course, which is fully lectured in English, students acquire the skills and knowledge required to participate in current debates regarding new global uncertainties and challenges. They will be prepared to take on leading positions in future projects, both in academia and society.
