First Degree in Mining and Geo-Environmental Engineering
The Mining and Geo-Environmental Engineering course provides you with broad training in the field of Geo-resources and Geo-environmental engineering, geared towards executing tasks related to the exploitation of water, mines and quarries, tunnelling, remediation of contaminated sites and geophysical surveying. The course also includes training related to management and advanced disciplines and project design, which are sure to stimulate your creativity.
Within the mining industry: Extraction and processing of metal and industrial ores, fuel, ornamental rocks and inert materials.
Fields of activity: extraction industry in mines, quarries, cement industry and the water industry; construction, involving earthmoving, tunnels and dams.
Services: applied research laboratories, supervision and licencing, design and planning offices.
In the environmental field: Environmental impact and assessment studies; environmental technologies related to the treatment of solid waste and intervention in contaminated sites, in particular groundwater and earth.
Fields of activity: Companies operating in the Geo-environmental field, design offices, land use planning services.
