First Degree in Environmental Engineering

In this course, you will find out how pollutants are created, measured and controlled, with help from practical classes in laboratories and incentives to participate in discussion and debate. All of this is founded on a holistic and multidisciplinary vision of environmental issues, which will allow you to develop the ability to anticipate and identify negative environmental effects, to solve them using technology and to incorporate sustainability solutions into industrial and social development.

Environmental Engineers occupy various positions in industry, in businesses of various specialities or dedicated to the environment, as well as in municipal services and agencies, in fields including: Environmental assessment, Environmental management, Industrial ecology, Water resource management, Design and management of water supply and (waste) water treatment plants, Design and management of solid waste treatment systems, Soil and groundwater rehabilitation, Ecosystem management, Climate change and air quality, Acoustics and vibrations, Land use planning, Usage and environmental implications of energy sources, Environmental health and safety in the workplace.
