We coordinate and provide cross-cutting and specialised support to all the Organisational Units, community, and R&D structures of U.Porto. When it comes to supporting applications for funded projects, we collaborate with the local offices.
The Research and Projects Office is organised into two Units:
- Promotes synergies and coordinates cross-cutting issues between organisations in the R&D ecosystem (faculties, associated research institutes, and other R&D structures);
- Aggregates, processes and provides data and information on various aspects of research;
- Promotes programmes to encourage the initiation of scientific research, as well as initiatives to support the communication and dissemination of science;
- Organises initiatives aimed at recognising the work of the scientific community;
- Organises capacity-building actions and training sessions on topics and areas that support scientific activity;
- Manages institutional registers, ensuring access to platforms that enable researchers to carry out their activities.
- Identifies, publicises and addresses funding opportunities for research and innovation activities;
- Organises capacity-building actions and training sessions on funding opportunities;
- Coordinates internal procedures related to participation in funded projects;
- Manages institutional records, ensuring access to platforms for submitting proposals to funded projects;
- Provides technical support for the preparation of proposals promoted by the scientific community;
- Supports Grant agreement signing procedures of approved project proposals;
- Coordinates the preparation of project proposals and participates in strategic projects.
