Procedure
Students interested in accommodation at a University Residence should apply online, on the SASUP website, using the User and Password provided by the Faculty to use SIGARRA.

Application Period
Students enrolling for the first time at the University of Porto should apply after their enrolment, in a period defined annually and disclosed by SASUP. Students with more than one enrolment at the University of Porto should apply within the annual deadline (usually in May).

Selection of candidates
The selection of the candidates is made according to the principles established in the University Halls of Residence Regulations, which we can highlight:

• Students with a SASUP scholarship have priority;
• Among the students with a scholarship, those with lower income and those who live further away from the University have priority;
• Students without a scholarship can stay in the Residence if there are vacancies.

Procedure
Students interested in accommodation at a University Residence should apply by filling in the appropriate forms provided by SASUP and attaching a statement proving enrolment at the University of Porto.

If applicable, the PhD supervisor can also make the accommodation request directly to the Accommodation Unit by e-mail.

Application Deadline
Applications should be submitted as early as possible in relation to the planned beginning of the stay.
