Abel Salazar House-Museum Library

The Abel Salazar House-Museum Library has around ten thousand publications, including literary works, monographs, catalogs and periodicals, on a wide range of subjects: Art, Archaeology, Ethnography, Philosophy, History, Mathematics, Medicine, Museology, Politics, among many others.

The Casa-Museu Abel Salazar Library is divided into three main collections: Abel Salazar's personal library, which is of great historical importance for understanding the figure of the Master and the social, political and cultural context of the first half of the 20th century; part of Ruy Luís Gomes' personal library, donated by the family of the former Rector of the University of Porto; and the CMAS general collection, which is the result of acquisitions and exchanges with various cultural institutions, and which complements the old collections.

This bibliographic collection is available for consultation in person, by appointment, at the Abel Salazar House-Museum and is accessible in the catalog.
