“U.Porto - Unexpected Careers” series

“U.Porto - Unexpected Careers” is the seventh series of the ‘Alumni Mundus’ podcast, which began on October 24, 2023. Here, we will tell the stories of former students who started careers in areas very different from their training at U.Porto. The idea is to find out how the University influenced and helped their professional lives, what challenges and adventures they experienced after their studies at U.Porto, how they evolved and what the future holds for them.

Some professionals may decide to follow new passions by making the transition to other areas of activity; others may consider a new career to find opportunities for progression that elude them, and which will not be unfamiliar with a salary increase. But the balance between professional and personal life can also be an important factor for change, by opting for less absorbing careers, and thus favoring personal fulfillment that doesn't end at the workplace. Let's hear what our alumni have to say about this.
