Description of the project
What is the International Credit Mobility (ICM)?
For nearly 30 years, Europe has funded the Erasmus programme, which has enabled over three million European students to spend part of their studies at another Higher Education Institution (HEI) in an Erasmus programme country.
The International Credit mobility can be defined as a limited period of study or training abroad (in the framework of on-going studies at a home institution) for gaining credits. After the mobility phase, students return to their home institution, where the credits are recognized and they complete their studies. Since 2015, Erasmus+ funds International Credit Mobility.
Given that, International Credit Mobility (ICM) offers opportunities to students and staff from other parts of the world. Under the ICM a Higher Education Institution (HEI)in a Partner Country can send its students or staff to a partner HEI in a Programme Country, and vice versa.
The international mobility of students and staff is open to participants from a HEI in Partner Countries for which an inter-institutional agreement has been settled with Nova University Lisbnon (NOVA).
For this edition 2019-2022 NOVA has signed agreements with Partner HEIs from the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Cape Verde, Canada, China, Colombia, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Montenegro, Morocco, Namibia, Palestine, Pakistan, São Tomé e Príncipe, Serbia, Tunisia and USA

Important: these unit costs represent the linear distance between the city where the university of origin and the city where the host university are located. This is automatically calculated by the website indicated by the European Commission and cannot be subject to any change. The financial support allocated to the "travel distance" is the maximum allowed by the Erasmus+ Programme and it contributes to the round-trip back between the home and host institutions. In the event that the assigned value is insufficient to pay for the desired trip, the scholarship holder must find other sources of funding.
