Over the last years ICBAS has sought to develop a cohesive internationalization strategy. This work began with a strong commitment to deepening existing institutional relations, encouraging the mobility of staff, teachers and researchers, as well as the scientific development of excellence and the dissemination of good research practices.
An International Relations Office was created, attached to the International Relations and Mobility Office, with the aim of strengthening the institution's international educational profile, research and reputation in the areas of human, animal and ecosystem health, promoting partnerships around the world and attracting international students.
Several partnerships have been set up with international universities: Montana (USA), Burapha (Thailand), Eduardo Mondlane (Mozambique), Samarcanda (Uzbekistan), Bialystok (Poland), Karakalpakstan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies (Uzbekistan), Estado do Amazonas (Brazil), Federal de Santa Maria (Brazil) and the University Hospital of Brasilia (Brazil).
In addition, various contacts were made with a view to developing partnerships.
