The Chromosomal Instability Diagnosis service is aimed at diagnosing chromosomal instability diseases, in particular Fanconi Anemia (FA). The analyses are carried out at the ICBAS Cytogenetics Laboratory. This laboratory is listed on ORPHANET , the portal for rare diseases and orphan drugs, and on the Portuguese Association for Fanconi Anemia Research (PFARN).
The Caso 50+ Service Centre offers personalized service, provided by specialized technicians in the fields of Psychology, Gerontology and Health, and aims to promote health and active, healthy ageing, responding to the needs arising from cognitive, behavioral, health and well-being problems of people aged 50 and over.
The ICBAS Electron Microscopy service provides support for the research, teaching and diagnostic activities carried out at ICBAS and CHP, and is also available to provide services to professionals from other institutions. The service has a transmission electron microscope equipped with a digital image camera.

Its main purpose is to carry out histopathological diagnosis in Veterinary Medicine, supporting the UP Veterinary Hospital - UPVet, clinics in and around Porto, as well as other laboratories that require its services.
The Veterinary Hospital of the University of Porto (UPVet) is a unit of the Department of Veterinary Clinics of ICBAS, which provides care for pets and also prepares future Veterinary Doctors as part of the curriculum of the Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
The Vairão Animal Reproduction Center (CRAV) was established to support the teaching of Theriogenology (Animal Reproduction) to the students of the Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine, and to provide services to the community in the area of assisted reproduction and the diagnosis and treatment of reproductive pathologies in domestic animals.
The Vairão Equine Clinical Center (CCEV) is part of the Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute (ICBAS) and, as such, its main objectives are the practical training of Veterinary Medicine students and the provision of a reference service in the field of Internal Medicine and Equine Surgery.
UMIB Core Facilities offers a range of equipment to support scientific research, including the Seahorse Extracellular Flow Analyzer, Stopped-Flow Analyzer and Thermocycler.
