The family context plays a decisive role in shaping and consolidating the eating habits of its members, and behaviors acquired in childhood tend to prevail in adulthood. However, families are often made up of members from different age groups with different nutritional needs and food preferences. Planning meals for the whole family to meet everyone's needs can be difficult for some. Therefore, this course on healthy meals for the whole family aims to enable participants to plan and prepare nutritionally balanced and appealing meals that will meet the needs of different generations, while being easy, quick and economical options. The learning acquired in this course offers a unique opportunity to promote positive eating habits, create family ties, save money and contribute to a healthier lifestyle.

General objective:
- To enable participants to make appropriate food choices for each age group when preparing lunchboxes.

Specific objectives:
- Know the main dietary recommendations according to age group;
- Plan and prepare nutritionally adequate, economical and quick and simple lunchboxes;
- Implement good storage and transportation practices for packed lunches.

 


Anyone interested in the subject. 


Contents:
1. Food and nutritional recommendations for the main age groups
2. Weekly planning of healthy and economical lunchboxes.
3. Good food storage and transportation practices.
4. Healthy cooking techniques and their application in the preparation of healthy and nutritionally balanced lunchboxes.


In-person (P)


Attendance requires participation in a minimum of 75% of the total contact hours.

The attendance certificate must be requested at the end of the course and is subject to a fee of 5 euros (University of Porto regulations).
