Training in Laboratory Waste Management will raise awareness of how to implement procedures to prevent, reuse, recover or treat waste as an alternative to the final option of disposal. At the end of this course, trainees should:
- Understand the importance of laboratory waste management;
- Know tools/methodologies for effective waste management;
- Be aware of how to implement waste prevention, reuse, recovery, treatment and disposal procedures;
- Know the applicable regulatory and legal framework;
- Acquire the skills needed to characterize and manage waste in laboratories.
Professionals working in the field of waste management or others wishing to acquire and/or update in-depth knowledge in the area, as well as candidates with an interest in these topics.
