Studying at FLUP - Support for Students

FLUP has several systems in place to support its students in various areas that influence academic life.

The Social Services of the University of Porto (SASUP) is an organisation dedicated to guaranteeing the quality of life of students.

SASUP is responsible for:

  • maintaining the social support fund (including an emergency fund) - to support unsafe situations and prevent university drop-outs;
  • requests for accommodation;
  • provision of medical appointments;
  • running the student community's catering facilities (canteens, bars, etc).

The University of Porto's Inclusion Support Centre (NAI) is dedicated to promoting an accessible and inclusive learning environment, providing individualised support to students with specific needs.

Its mission focuses on the daily inclusion of these students in an academic context to guarantee equal access to education and full participation.

The Psychological Support and Integration Service of the Campo Alegre Campus (PsiCA) offers specialised psychological services to students, teachers and technicians from the faculties of the Campo Alegre Campus, where FLUP is located.

Through it, it is possible to book appointments and register for workshops and other initiatives that promote mental health.
