Curricular structure
With an innovative and interdisciplinary curricular structure, the aim is to attract graduates in geography and other disciplinary areas (architecture, engineering, planning, sociology, economics, law, among others). In this way, the course aims to contribute to the development of a new generation of spatial planners and to update professionals already working in local councils, companies, etc.\
Passing the curricular units of the 1st and 2nd semesters confers a diploma (in a non-degree master's course) in two alternative specialisations:
- Urban Policies and Spatial Planning;
- Risk Prevention and Spatial Planning.
To obtain a master's degree, in the 3rd and 4th semesters students can choose to complete one of three options: dissertation, internship or project.
