Curricular structure
The Master’s Degree in Philosophy has four thematic areas of specialisation:
- Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art - foundational questions around the aesthetic experience and its ethical-political dimension are explored, weaving a dialogue with the different forms of artistic expression.
- Ethics and Political Philosophy - authors and problems central to philosophical reflection on ethical-political rationality, interculturalism and citizenship are studied.
- Contemporary Philosophy - covering various areas of contemporary philosophy, special emphasis is given to the problems of the mind, action, epistemology and aesthetics.
- History of Philosophy - works from Antiquity to the Modern Age are studied, exploring questions that continue to challenge us, such as social and political order, freedom, knowledge and the existence of God.
