Curricular structure
The Master's programme lasts two years (four semesters) and corresponds to 120 ECTS. The first year consists of a non-degree master's course, made up of a set of curricular units corresponding to 60 ECTS. It confers a non-degree awarding course in Sociology. It provides in-depth sociological training in areas such as:
- contemporary sociological theories
- the dynamics of Portuguese society;
- quantitative and qualitative methodologies and sociological intervention;
- specialised sociologies.
The 2nd year (60 ECTS) consists of two curricular units to support the preparation of a scientific dissertation, or a professional internship with a final report, the defence of which in public examinations will allow the student to obtain a master's degree in Sociology (120 ECTS).
