First Degree in Communication Sciences

Founded on the basis of a protocol signed by the Faculties of Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Fine Arts and Economics of the University of Porto, the degree in Communication Sciences offers multidisciplinary training in the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences, complemented by the practical exercise of knowledge in the fields of information and communication technologies, aesthetics, economics and management.

Curriculum

For four semesters (two years), students attend a common academic programme, interacting with different areas of communication, and from the fifth semester (beginning of the third year) they can choose one of the following specialisation paths: Journalism, Multimedia, Strategic Communication.

The course has a strong practical component in television and radio studios and in an online newsroom, as well as allowing students to participate in the development of editorial projects, both curricular and extracurricular.
