FLUP Library's collection comprises around 500,000 titles, from books to academic journals, audiovisual content and digital publications. All of these bibliographic resources necessary for research and teaching are freely accessible not only to the student community, but also to society in general.
Anyone can visit the FLUP Library and come into direct contact with its collections in its open spaces designated for reading, consultation and study. In addition to these basic educational and recreational activities, the Library provides other specialised services, such as:
- reference service
- home loans;
- interlibrary loans;
- loan of portable equipment for use in the library;
- self-service photocopying and digitisation service;
- provision of documentation in alternative formats to support students with severe visual impairments, as well as technologies for accessing texts in electronic format;
- access to full-text databases;
- user training;
- search service, at the request of users, in the various databases available;
- supply of scientific articles at the request of users;
- support for the publication of scientific works.
